Role Title    :  Head of Operations

Location    : Baghdad, with occasional travel to regional centers as needed across the country.

Role Overview:

The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the execution of Abwaab’s core operational functions, including the Guided Learning team (Micro Teacher Assistants), the Content Team, Offline Exams management, and all related logistics. This is a high-impact role focused on ensuring smooth, efficient, and scalable operational systems that support our strategic growth and day-to-day performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Operations Leadership

• Translate company objectives into actionable operational strategies.

• Lead and develop systems for scaling the Guided Learning and Content teams efficiently.

• Drive operational excellence through clear KPIs, and consistent performance management.

2. Guided Learning (MTA) Oversight

• Own the full operations cycle of the Micro Teacher Assistant (MTA) team: sourcing, onboarding, scheduling, performance tracking, and retention.

• Coordinate with Academic and Sales teams to ensure optimal delivery and coverage.

• Continuously refine tools and processes to maximize productivity and student experience.

3. Content Team Operations

• Collaborate with academic leadership and production teams to manage workflows, timelines, and quality control of all content delivery (videos, exams, lesson plans).

• Oversee scheduling and support of celebrity teachers and internal content staff.

• Ensure efficient coordination across curriculum planners, editors, and academic reviewers.

4. Offline Exams & Logistics

• Design and manage a nationwide offline exams operation: Centers booking, materials distribution, invigilation staffing, and security.
  Build logistical systems for secure and timely exam delivery and result processing.

• Work with the tech and support teams to integrate offline operations into the digital experience.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Support, Sales, and Marketing  departments to ensure alignment on initiatives and priorities.

• Drive data-backed decisions using reports from operations, support, and analytics.
  
  

Key Requirements & Skills:

• Proven experience in operations leadership, preferably in education, logistics, or tech-enabled service industries.

• Strong project and people management skills across diverse functional teams.

• Systems thinker with the ability to build scalable processes from scratch.

• Data-driven and highly organized; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in Arabic and English.
