Role Overview:

The Product Manager is obsessed with two things: creating amazing products that students absolutely love and an urgency to test and improve the overall experience. They should have a level of skepticism about the status quo that pushes them to think deeply about why students would use and pay for our product.


You will be joining a startup that is transforming the way Arabic speaking students learn, and witnessing the thrill of building a hyper-growth tech company. You'll also work really closely with the leadership team, the areas that the PM will cover in this role are crucial.


The ideal candidate would have a technical background (not required) with sound business acumen to be able to conceptualize features that are super easy to use, feasible, and valuable.



Previous startup experience is a must.

Responsibilities:


  • We report to the students. You need to be really close to them. Run focus groups, phone calls, surveys or anything that empowers you to build the best product that students love

  • Work closely with the different stakeholders to innovate, design, and build a product that our students love

  • Responsible for setting your features' vision and strategy. You are expected to gather all the right and relevant insights

  • Define the requirements for each product update and the desired user experience

  • Setup dashboard that communicate the overall health of your features (metrics, funnels, charts)

  • Be data obsessed; monitor student behavior very closely, and make decisions based on that. You need to work closely with the data team to make sure you have all the data points needed

  • Iterate, and continuously develop the product to optimize for student adoption 

  • Cross-functional leadership; work with all relevant cross functions (engineering, marketing, sales, content and support teams)

  • Manage the inflow of product ideas and feedback, evaluate and prioritize them into product roadmap by working closely with the leadership team

  • Remain updated about the latest development with similar products of competitors both regionally and globally

  • Build a true partnership with the engineering team

  • Be on top of execution and releases

  • Be ready to handle major challenges

Role requirements:


  • Loves the product. Plain and simple – that’s above everything else

  • Technical degree is preferred, but isn't required

  • 2-5 years of experience as a product manager (Edtech experience isn't a must)

  • A track record of successfully releasing digital products and features

  • Deep understanding of the product release cycle

  • Understanding of A/B testing and familiarity with the relevant tools

  • Demonstrated success at partnering, prioritizing and balancing needs cross-functionally

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Empathy, emotional intelligence, and a love of feedback

  • Extra attention to detail

  • Ability to learn quickly
