Abwaab | Market Research Officer

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Market Research Officer to join our team at Abwaab, a growing EdTech startup dedicated to reshaping how students learn across the MENA region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in research, data collection, and analysis. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and eager to support data-driven decisions that impact marketing, product, and business strategy.
Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering data on market trends, competitors, customer behavior, and education technology developments.
Support the creation and distribution of surveys, forms, and user feedback tools.
Conduct desk research and compile findings from online sources, publications, and reports.
Help maintain competitor tracking sheets and monitor pricing, content, and product updates.
Contribute to research reports and presentations with summaries, charts, and basic analysis.
Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Product, and Strategy to provide relevant insights when needed.
Keep research files, documents, and dashboards organized and updated
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field.
6 months to 1 year of experience in market research, analytics, marketing, or a related internship.
Familiarity with basic research methods (surveys, competitor analysis, trend reports).
Good command of Excel or Google Sheets.
Comfortable using survey tools like Google Forms, Typeform, or similar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented, with a willingness to learn and grow.
Preferred:
Passion for education and technology.
Basic understanding of the EdTech space or educational systems in the MENA region.
