An accountant is responsible for collecting payments from customers and clients on behalf of a company or organization. Key responsibilities of an accountant may include:

  1. Contacting customers and clients to follow up on overdue payments.

  2. Negotiating payment plans and resolving disputes with customers.

  3. Recording and reconciling payments received.

  4. Monitoring and reporting on overdue accounts.

  5. Communicating with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve payment issues.

  6. Preparing and submitting reports on collections activity and performance.

  7. Maintaining accurate records of collections and customer interactions.

  8. Staying up-to-date on company policies and procedures related to collections.

  9. Managing petty cash and handling office expenses.

  10. Managing the payments to the partners in different projects.

  11. Sharing Weekly/Monthly reports about the financial situations.

  12. Follow up and maintain the spend vs budget

The ideal candidate for an accountant position should have strong communication and negotiation skills, along with a good understanding of accounting principles and financial records. Experience in collections, customer service, or a related field may also be valuable, along with the ability to work well under pressure and manage a high volume of accounts. Good organizational and time management skills are also important for success in this role.
